Snarf

Snarf

Snarf is 53 kilos of happiness. We’ve had this big boy for a bit over two years now, and he’s a very easy dog to have around. He’s incredibly well socialized with other animals, and is good with people as well. He’s very careful around smaller animals (e.g. cats) and children. In the house he is low in energy, and tends to sleep most of the day. Outside of the house, especially when off-leash, he is incredibly active, and ranges around us in large areas (but always returns). He is also very easy with eating, sleeping alone, stairs, and boundaries in the house (e.g. things on the table are off-limits).

In terms of things to consider, it is good to know he is protective of the house, and does bark at people he sees outside occasionally (in our house he cannot see people on the street so this is not a problem, but we’ve heard this from sitters). He has a strong fear for horses and cows specifically. While he does have a recall, and listens well occasionally, he does tend to ignore us when he’s playing with other dogs (but again, always comes with us if we decide to leave).

Overall he’s a very easy dog to have, and we can confirm this from all the sitters we’ve had in the past. We are looking for a co-sharing option, as my partner is currently pregnant of our first child. We would be looking to have a sharing setup arrangement along whatever lines works for you. I’d be happy to provide more information if necessary.
