Piper

Piper

Super smart, affectionate and hyper little girl, who doesn’t understand personal space. Lol. While she’ll likely be very hyper when you first meet, she will calm down and cuddle with you once she gets comfortable and understands the house rules! She is super super sweet and doesn’t understand personal space, almost too a dominance type feeling if you let her. You MUST be comfortable being firm with her and letting her know where you draw the line. She is super smart and will quickly catch on as long as your consistent.

Piper has stayed with several families with children and she LOVES kids and playing with them! Every family seemed to truly LOVE her company and sweetness and praised how amazing she was with the children. With that said, not all dogs and children are good fits together so i would like to share a little more about Piper. She is solid muscle and can get carried away and forget her strength when she gets too wound up playing. So she would be best with middle aged to older children or children who are not afraid of and can handle playing with a hyper 40lb dog. She is still learning not to jump up on people. While I have seen her sense some children’s fear and she NEVER jumps on them…other children she reads wrong and scares the crap out of them. She has never ever attempted to bite a human AT ALL.

As far as other animals…Piper loves other dogs while outdoors! She’s not always so nice indoors with other dogs tho! At least not near her food or crate. I like to stay on the side of caution though and think she would be best as the only dog. I have never seen her around cats.
