Boxer

Description

Boxer dogs are tough, loyal and like to play. They are also courageous with very natural strength and sporting skills. On top of that, they like to be attentive and want to have direct contact with their owner. They like to caress, embrace and all kinds of personal contact. It is one of these dogs that will follow you everywhere and always. The Boxer goes well with other dogs and kids. You should not nurture aggressive feelings, we would say that he must be kept in a smooth mood, but he is a very good guard dog.

History of Boxer

German breeders in the late 19th century, who wanted to create the perfect guard dog, crossed English Bulldog with Bullenbeiser, created the first boxer. On February 26, 1895, Flocki was born, who was the 1st one to join the German Kennel Group’s genealogy. The people who founded the breed in their modern form helped to spread them globally are Philip Friederun Stockman, the history breeder “Vom Dom”. In 1925 the boxer was officially recognized as a military/police work dog because of their excellent work capacity and offer during the 1st World War.

Health and Care

Illnesses that may occur are head volume, hypothyroidism, heart disease, colitis, swelling, and deafness. Hair care is very easy with the Boxer. A simple grating is enough. They are very clean dogs and they even care for themselves. Dogs that have their ears cut should often be examined for candle accumulation, but also for fungus. Be careful not to put cotton swabs in the ear canal, except to clean around it.
